The club has announced that it will celebrate One Hundred Years of Perth Rugby in 2010. The announcement follows research into the club's history showing that while the current club began in 1928 as part of the rebirth of rugby in Western Australia, a forerunner club with connections to the current club was operating before the first World War.
The celebration will culminate five days of celebrations over a competition weekend to be nominated in 2010.
The celebrations will include a meet and greet on the Wednesday, followed by an evening at the clubrooms following Thursday night training. Friday will be a free day with the Through The Years Dinner at night, Saturday will feature the home game and subsequent entertainment, and the occasion will conclude with a champagne brunch on Sunday morning.
The celebration committee will begin promoting the event shortly and all past and current members are warmly invited to participate.
