FIRST GRADE SURVIVING TOUGH RUN

Perth-Bayswater first grade hung in there with a 33-15 loss to Associates at Allen Park, as the first half of the competition dragged to a conclusion with a string of the hardest games on offer. Lock Campbell Saunders and wing PJ Pittman scored tries and halfback Mark Hill kicked a conversion and a penalty.
In other games, second grade again lost by the narrowest of margins with a 30-29 defeat by Associates, third grade also lost narrowly 11-7 against Associates, fourth grade defeated Associates 12-6, Under 20s went down heavily to Associates 46-12, and Under 18s also lost to Soaks by one point 22-21.
