2 March 2011
Great news that Perth-Bayswater again gets to host another round of pre-season games this Friday night 4th of March, under lights … perfect for the weather we are having at the moment!
First Game is UWA vs Wanneroo starting at 6.45pm
Second Game is Perth-Bayswater vs Associates starting at 8.15pm.
In last Saturday's games at Pat O'Hara Reserve, UWA defeated Nedlands 19–12, Wanneroo defeated Cottesloe 21-12 and Associates downed Kalamunda 24-17. In the final game of the evening, Perth-Bayswater displayed an outstanding desire in defence against the much improved Curtin. The Goats midfield showed plenty of speed and attacked off a solid platform that was laid by their strong-carrying backrow, however the Baysie boys refused to let their line be crossed. Curtin were gallant in defeat but Perth-Bayswater finished strongly to record a 24–0 win. A dozen Western Force players appeared for their clubs in these games (needless to say, none appeared in black and white).

This last week has been a sad one for club patrons with the tragic passing of ex-Junior Chairman Chris Smith. Our thoughts and prayers go to Liz and the boys to help them carry on with the strength and vigour he would want them to without their beloved husband and Dad by their sides. A memorial service may be held for Chris at the club — more info on this soon.
