Minor semi-final: Collie 18-5 Summary: Fourth in competition, finalists. Fabulous fifths, enjoying the boundless talents and generous nature of Peter Westaway as coach, had a reasonable first round but surged ahead in the second round to beat all the top three teams and finish a close fourth. They took out Collie in the minor semi-final but drew with Uni in the preliminary final, allowing the students to go through on superior percentage. A moral premiership for the awe-inspiring crack unit that is Perth-Bayswater fifth grade.
