Those merchants of all things delicious, our sponsors King Somm, are at it again… with another tantalising offer to temp the Baysie faithful. So, if you are looking for something to do on the 7th of July, you could do far worse than supporting their upcoming Vintage Drops.
Get excited Ladies and Gentleman, after popular demand, Vintage Drops is back for another season! However, this year we thought we would take things up another notch, and add a series of Brewers Edition tastings into the mix.
To kick off this year’s season we have two south-west breweries joining us. Just like their fellow crafty creators, these brewers pour their heart and soul into kegs and cans to give you an experience that will leave you wanting more. To start off the evening’s proceedings we have Artisan Brewing, a Belgian-style brewery focusing on a often-neglected element of brewing, yeast. After a globe-trotting career in Geophysics, the husband and wife team Brain and Julia Fitzgerald planned to retire but not without first completing an American Brewers Guild qualification. Leaving them obsessed, uniquely with Belgian beer, retirement had to wait. Aiming to showcase a great representation of Belgian-styles beers to Australia, representing the ethos – Art, Science, Passion & Community, this yeast forward collection is amazing.
Followed by Tall Timber Brewing Co. a creation from the loins of the historical Manjimup Hotel. Head brewer Florian von Guttenburg, German born raised Canadian found his way down-under in 2000 hired by Swan Brewery, installing and commissioning the Old Swan Brewery on Mounts Bay Road. Not before returning home to Germany and completing his education at the world renowned Weihenstephan University in Germany. Florian’s passion for craft beer pours deep.
For those that love craft beer and delicious food, this is a must – but hurry tix are selling fast!!!
